Thanks, but do you mean to say these "low cultivated people" (quite a patronizing expression if you ask me) didn't have a way to express themselves before the invention of Facebook? Do you also mean to say that the expression of a "like" is that of a thought (rather than a mere taste, at best)? For one thing, I am not sure that being cultured is necessary in order to be able to express oneself, but more specifically, I think that the "like" means everything and its contrary, i.e., means nothing. It's a mass phenomenon like the one in which crowds of onlookers flock to see something sensational -- an accident, a fire, e.g. -- and will go away once it's over. Some may feel compassion, some excitement, some curiosity, some nothing, and it just means it was sensational.

A very interesting piece of work and some very convincing ideas... But what about those who can't express themselves without the "like" phenomenon? The low-cultivated people (or lazy people in some cases) who, thanks to Facebook or any network, can dare to say what they think? And when they are lost for words or can't put them the way they would like to, the "like" button is quite convenient. After all, everybody has the right to express themselves (debate!)...
